As we celebrate Trans Awareness Week, we’re uplifting the voices and stories of trans young people — and the allies who support them.
Our latest episode of Learn With Love shares the story of Lyndon, who came out as trans and lost his family in the process, and Danny, a Christian pastor whose beliefs — and heart — were transformed by their friendship.
Even after losing so much, Lyndon still believed that God loved him — even when those around him said otherwise.
Danny once believed being LGBTQ+ was “wrong”; he even supported harmful conversion therapy practices through his church. But when Lyndon entered his life, everything changed.
Through deep grief, faith, and love, Danny learned that accepting someone is not a sin — rejecting their humanity is.
“Sometimes love means going to places that might not feel familiar to you.” — Danny
Today, Danny leads a welcoming church that practices love by listening to and uplifting all voices, including LGBTQ+ ones. Watch their journey unfold and be inspired to lead and learn with love this Trans Awareness Week.
