You may recall during the 2024 elections, Donald Trump made some horrible and flat-out false claims that demonized immigrants. One of the worst was that Venezuelan gangs had "taken over" entire areas in Aurora, Colorado and were terrorizing people outside the reach of the law.

This was, of course, completely false—which is why after Trump set the tone, his most loyal MAGA soldier Lauren Boebert capitalized on the lies. 

Boebert made numerous trips to Aurora and commented breathlessly to the media about what was "happening" there. Everything her and Trump said was made up out of thin air, total fabrication.

Well, now MAGA is finally Finding Out in Colorado: there are consequences to your outright lying.

Voters in Aurora, Colorado just ousted three conservative city council members who supported Trump and Boebert's malicious and false claims that Venezuelan gang members occupied the city.

Progressives won these races against the odds. They embraced immigrants and refugees and fought back against the disgusting lies spread by Trump and Boebert.

These elections are proof that voters have had enough of the lies and the racism of MAGA, and they are coming for demagogues like Boebert this year.
