Hey John, Hopefully, you are now registered to vote and planning to vote in the upcoming August 11th and November 3rd elections! (If not, it's not too late! You can check your registration status and register to vote here: https://wave.votewisconsin.com/). Voting is an essential civic duty to ensure we elect officials who will represent our priorities, including passing evidence-based, lifesaving gun violence prevention policies. We encourage you to vote absentee (aka early or by mail) in 2020 to protect you and your community from the COVID-19 pandemic. The last day to request an absentee ballot for the August 11th Partisan Primary is August 6th, but to avoid any potential issues and make sure you get your ballot in time, do NOT wait until the last day. To vote absentee, you must request an absentee ballot. There are two ways to apply for an absentee ballot: - You can complete and submit the online application form – https://myvote.wi.gov/en-us/VoteAbsentee. An acceptable photo ID is required.
- You can complete and submit a paper application form. Depending on where you live, you may receive a paper "Wisconsin Application for Absentee Ballot" in the mail. An acceptable photo ID is required. You may submit your application and a copy of your ID by mail, fax, email, or in-person at your municipal clerk's office.
Thanks! Heidi P.S. If you need any help with the voter registration process or with uploading your photo ID to request your absentee ballot, please email us at [email protected].
