Content warning for discussions of violence and suicide.
Please take care of yourself.
John,
Today, we are officially releasing our 2025 Remembrance Report.
With the Trump administration working to erase our history, and extremists threatening our rights and protections, it has never been more important to create and preserve our own records. Every year, Advocates for Trans Equality releases a Remembrance Report about anti-trans violence. We are proud to bring you this resource in honor of Trans Day of Remembrance.

Content warning for violence and suicide.
Our 2025 Remembrance Report data shows that we must do more to protect trans people, especially Black trans women. Statistics show high rates of gun violence against Black trans women. Out of the 17 Black trans people memorialized in the Trans Remembrance Project, all but two were killed using guns.
The report also shows the urgency of prioritizing youth mental health. Since last November, 61% of all those lost to suicide were trans youth ages 15-24. Every trans person should have access to affirming mental health resources, no matter where they live.
These are just some of the findings in the report. Click here to read the full 2025 Remembrance Report . [[link removed]]
