Representative Mariannette Miller-Meeks (202) 225-6576
Mariannette Miller-Meeks is finally back from vacation. If she's back in Washington D.C., why isn’t she fighting to protect Iowans’ healthcare? Now that the funding bill passed without ACA credits, millions of Americans will see their premiums skyrocket. Many will lose their insurance entirely. She’s had over a month of leisure to think about what’s best for our state, and this betrayal is what she comes up with? |

Hey folks! Rita Hart here. |
Republican Speaker Mike Johnson, after weeks of inaction, finally reconvened the House on Wednesday. You’d think after over a month of vacation that Republicans would be rested and ready to pass a funding bill that reopens the government and protects Americans’ healthcare at the same time. |
But that has not come to pass. They voted on a budget bill that doesn’t include the Affordable Care Act credits. This plan will, and already is, skyrocketing the premiums of millions of Americans. Many in Iowa, and across the country, could lose their health insurance entirely. This is a betrayal by Iowa’s Republican Representatives, one that voters won’t forget come 2026. |

Thanks to Republicans, our healthcare is now in more danger than ever. If you or your family could be impacted by rising ACA rates, tell us your story here: Storyteller Sign-Up Form |

Iowa Republicans are leaving working folks in the dust. It is getting harder and harder to make ends meet and Republicans are not doing anything to lower costs. Iowans deserve better. We need to elect leaders who will step up and make sure working families are getting the necessary medical care that allows them to live healthy lives.
