In most states, you can still walk into a Home Depot and buy a gallon of this deadly pesticide right off the shelf.

Jack,

A bee lifts off from a flower, buzzing back towards her home with a harvest of pollen.

But then her flight falters. She’s navigated to and from the hive every day since she first took flight, but now she can’t even move in a straight line no matter how hard she tries. Alone and confused, she might never make it home -- all because of pesticides called neonicotinoids, or neonics.

Neonics damage bees’ brains and can even kill them outright -- but you can still easily buy gallons of this deadly pesticide at Home Depot.

Tell Home Depot to save the bees and stop selling neonic pesticides.

We have bees and other pollinators to thank for so much of our planet’s beauty. Over 80% of flowering plants depend on pollinators to thrive.

But every time a bee sets out to forage today, it’s less likely than ever that she will make it home alive. America’s agricultural landscape has become 50 times more toxic to insects than it was in the 1990s, when neonicotinoids were first introduced.

Neonics can seep into waterways and  travel for miles. They get absorbed into the leaves, pollen, and nectar of plants far from the place the chemicals were originally applied. Little truly safe habitat remains, and bee populations are plummeting.

Home Depot can make a big difference for the bees by getting neonics off its store shelves.

We know we can encourage Home Depot to do the right thing if we work together. The company has already reduced its offerings of plants treated with neonics at its stores.

The next step is to get all neonics off the shelves at Home Depot. The fewer neonics we use on lawns and gardens across America, the safer bees will be to thrive.
