The stakes for our community and for our democracy have never been higher, John.

The politicization of the Justice Department under Donald Trump and members of his administration showed us what happens when powerful people put politics above justice. We’ve watched the Trump DOJ refuse to prosecute his allies — even when they were caught breaking the law.

One glaring example: a Virginia sheriff who took $75,000 in bribes in exchange for issuing auxiliary deputy sheriff badges was sentenced to ten years in federal prison — but Trump pardoned him before he served a single day. That’s not justice. That’s corruption.

We can’t count on the Trump-aligned DOJ to defend our rights, serve our interests, or fairly uphold the rule of law for the people of North Carolina.

That’s why local accountability matters now more than ever.

Because of its position in the state Capitol, the Wake County District Attorney’s Office is unlike any other in North Carolina — investigating and prosecuting political corruption and government malfeasance across the state.

That means the Wake County DA is likely the last line of defense against political corruption in North Carolina.

And that’s why I’m running. We need a Wake County District Attorney who will hold everyone accountable — regardless of whether they’re friends or supporters of Donald Trump.

I’m determined to stand up for our rights and freedoms, hold corrupt politicians accountable, and defend the rule of law and our Constitution.

But I can’t do it alone. Moving our state forward will take all of us — working together to build a fairer, safer, more just North Carolina.

For some, that might mean pitching in a donation [[link removed]] to help us grow our campaign. For others, it’s volunteering, hosting a house party, or spreading the word. [[link removed]]

However you choose to get involved, your support matters — because justice must apply equally and fairly, to everyone.

I’m fired up about the movement we’re building, and I’m grateful to have you with me.
