Gearing up for 2026: User Management |
If members of your team won’t be sticking around for the “down season”, now is the time to make sure you don’t lose access to important assets. Staff transitions are always an opportunity for data to get lost in the mix-ups.
Some of the biggest things to be mindful of are admin and data transfers. If you or a teammate are an admin user, make sure to transfer that user role to someone else within your committee BEFORE they leave. And if you created assets that your teammates may need going forward, make sure they're transferred, or made available to others. The last thing you want is for your team to not be able to utilize valuable resources because of a simple oversight.

I jumped into Advocacy when the Sandy Hook shooting happened, and I got to meet a lot of survivors. I just thought, “How can I not work on this issue and work to make our country safer?” It became a personal thing. I had only been doing it for two months and I got asked to speak at a press conference. I had no idea what I was doing, and I was like, “Woah, what did I get myself into, this is big…”; and before I knew it I was organizing across the Western Region, then Nationally with the data team, all with passionate people working for Gun Violence Prevention.
I did that for 6 1/2 years and then was able to step into a role at Mobilize, which really allowed me to help people that were doing good in the world. Being able to work with smaller organizations while they have these lightbulbs going on of, “Oh my goodness, I can achieve this using this product…”, is a game changer. No one’s gonna remember who helped you do that, but it’s fun to know that you're back there helping different organizations navigate pain points. And when you’re organizing, all those little pain points add up.

We’re committed to keeping our filing systems aligned with the latest requirements. This month, we rolled out updates to both paper forms and CSV exports in response to new Kansas regulations. West Virginia’s recent move from XML to Excel formatting also prompted key system updates, with full-featured support on the way. We’ve also strengthened our PDF capabilities to better accommodate larger submissions. |
