Over 12 million children in Afghanistan need humanitarian aid to survive. Tell your lawmakers: Struggling families can’t wait for food, water, shelter and medicine. [[link removed]]

John,
I recently traveled to eastern Afghanistan – and everywhere I went, I saw kids.
Kids drinking water from streams. Kids unable to attend school. Kids working to help their families get by.
Since a catastrophic earthquake struck in August, countless families have been living in tents, desperate for warmth and shelter as a bitter winter approaches.
John, they’re suffering without a trace of support from our government. Please, urge Congress to send help before it’s too late. [[link removed]]

Since my return, yet another powerful earthquake shook northern Afghanistan, displacing more at-risk kids as freezing temperatures set in.
But even amid so much devastation, I saw hope.
SCAN’s sister organization, Save the Children, is providing water, hygiene supplies, psychosocial support and critical health services.
I visited their women-only clinic, where kids can play safely while mothers receive care – a revolutionary response to the maternal and child mortality crisis.
John, humanitarian aid like this saves lives. Join Save the Children Action Network in calling on Congress to help Afghanistan’s most vulnerable children. [[link removed]]
