Dear Friend,

I’m David, Director of Fundraising and Marketing at Dignity in Dying. I’ve been working for the campaign for over a decade, watching support build and build up to this moment.

But today I need to level with you.

As the Bill moves through Committee Stage in the House of Lords, opponents are gearing up. Peers have put down over 900 amendments to the Bill, for opponents their aim is to delay the process until the momentum we had built for law change fades away.

We cannot allow that to happen.

If you can, please make a donation today to ensure we have the resources to keep this Bill moving:

Our crowdfunder is what enables us to respond quickly, brief peers with accurate evidence, and counter misinformation the moment it appears. Without that support, we are at real risk of being outpaced at the very moment we need to be strongest.

Here’s how your generous gift can help see the Bill through its next stage:

  • £935 could pay for us to print and send campaign packs to 1,000 supporters.
  • £77 could help us spread the campaign message to 10,000 people using digital adverts -for example on Facebook.
  • £23 could pay for a vital briefing to be drafted and sent to a member of the House of Lords, giving them the evidence they need to make the case for change.

Every contribution, no matter the size - directly fuels the work happening right now in Parliament and across the country. It means more voices heard, and more pressure where it matters most.

Thank you for standing with us at this critical moment. Together, we can make sure compassion and choice finally become a reality for dying people.

With sincere thanks,

David Pearce

Director of Fundraising & Marketing
Dignity in Dying

P.S. Parliamentary debates are continuing, and opposition attempts to undermine the Bill are growing. If you’re able, please donate today - it genuinely makes a difference.
