My great-grandparents came here, fleeing a country where people had no voice and no freedom to choose their leaders. Their story is why I believe so deeply in the right to vote, and why I take it personally when that right is threatened.

Now, Donald Trump is once again pressuring the Department of Justice to somehow dig up fraud from the 2020 election that simply doesn’t exist. It’s not just an attack on history; it’s an attempt to plant seeds of doubt ahead of the 2026 elections.

But I will not back down.

Our elections are secure. Our votes are counted accurately. And our democracy is worth defending every single day.
