Friend,
Today, I voted NO on this GOP funding bill.
After over 40 days of this government shutdown, Americans’ healthcare is still under attack—and we have done nothing to fix this crisis. Just as they have since day one, the GOP owns this shutdown, and now they will own the fact that millions of Americans who are already struggling to make ends meet will be unable to afford the skyrocketing costs of their healthcare.
The American people are depending on us to defend their healthcare and stand up for working families. I refuse to leave them behind.
While Speaker Johnson refused to let Congress work for the people we were elected to serve, I have not been sitting idly by. I have been in my district, talking to my constituents, and working to address the crises our communities are facing because of the GOP's irresponsible actions. Our neighbors are struggling to put food on the table, skipping doctors’ appointments because they can’t afford their premiums, and seeing costs everywhere skyrocket. It's unacceptable.
I will not stand by while the GOP kicks even more people off their health insurance. That’s why I voted no on this disastrous funding bill.
With a tough road ahead, I need your support so I can keep fighting back against the GOP. Chip in to my re-election campaign today.
