This movement is snowballing, and I couldn’t be prouder of what we’re building together.

We have earned over two dozen endorsements from community leaders and organizations. We’re one of the top-funded campaigns in this race with nearly $750,000 raised in total from over 7,500 unique donors from across the country. With over 500 volunteers already, we were able to secure a place on the ballot without having to pay a single canvasser to collect them for us. And we’ve had 190 meet and greets, attended by over 2,000 people who’ve made it loud and clear: they want a congressperson with consistency, credibility and relationships.

The people of IL-9 are coalescing around our vision for a better kind of politics, one rooted in optimism and focused on improving the lives of our neighbors. 

Now, we need to keep the momentum rolling into the holiday season—a time when campaign fundraising often slows down, but our movement can’t afford to. 

I know the holiday season this year will be hard for many families. The Trump administration’s ignorance and indifference to the consequences of their own policies are driving up costs for everyday Americans. That's why one of my top priorities when I get to Congress is to tackle the affordability crisis head-on for working families who have been left behind.
