Champion for Voting Rights in Arizona
Voting Rights Fund is proud to endorse Attorney General Kris Mayes for
re-election in 2026.Since winning her 2022 election, Attorney General Mayes has
been at the forefront of Arizona’s fight to protect voting rights. Her victory
against Republican Abraham Hamadeh was one of the closest elections in Arizona
history, with a mere 280 vote margin.
Mayes has been an outspoken champion while in office and one of the state's
most important and vocal advocates for voters. With the rise of attacks on our
election systems in recent history including voter intimidation, voter
obstruction, and election malfeasance, Arizona voters need her continued
commitment to the rule of law now more than ever.

Defending Democracy and the Rule of Law
Kris Mayes’ tenure has been defined by an unwavering defense of democracy and
the rule of law. Under her leadership, she helped conclude an extensive
investigation that debunked dozens of baseless claims of election fraud and
found no evidence of widespread issues.
In April 2024, she oversaw a state grand jury that indicted 18 individuals,
including 11 false electors, for orchestrating the scheme to overturn Arizona’s
2020 presidential election results. The indictment made clear that the plot
would have undermined the democratic process and deprived voters of accurate
representation. Mayes boldly pursued accountability for this attack and sent a
message that election subversion will not be tolerated in Arizona.
Perhaps nothing illustrates Kris Mayes’ commitment to democratic principles
more than her recent fight to ensure Arizona voters get the representation they
deserve in Washington. In October 2025, when newly elected Congresswoman
Adelita Grijalva was inexplicably being denied her seat in the U.S. House of
Representatives, Mayes leapt into action. She sent a demand letter to House
Speaker Mike Johnson insisting that Grijalva be sworn in immediately.
“I will not allow Arizonans to be silenced or treated as second-class citizens
in their own democracy,”
Mayes made it abundantly clear that she will hold even the highest officials
accountable to the Constitution.
The Leadership Arizona Needs in 2026
Kris Mayes has demonstrated extraordinary leadership, integrity, and courage
in protecting the fundamental right to vote. She has balancedvigilant election
security with unwavering fairness, ensuring that every Arizonan can exercise
their voice in our democracy. From bolstering protections for early and mail
voters to prosecuting those who would intimidate election officials, Mayes has
consistently put Arizona’s people above partisan politics. Her deep respect for
the rule of law and the Constitution shines through in every action she takes,
whether it’s upholding the results of legitimate votes or demanding that
elected officials honor the will of the voters.
In a state that has often been at the epicenter of election falsehoods and
attempts to undermine voting rights, Attorney General Kris Mayes has been a
beacon of honesty and justice. She fights not just for the integrity of
ballots, but for the principle that every voter deserves to be heard and every
lawful vote must count. Voting Rights Fund is proud to endorse Kris Mayes
because her record proves that she will always stand up for democracy.
Arizona Attorney General Kris Mayes has made protecting democracy her mission,
and we are thrilled to support her re-election campaign to continue her fight
to protect every eligible voter.
