Jim Heighington, Executive Director of the Minnesota DFL here. Now that I’ve been at the DFL for a few months, I wanted to reach out and introduce myself!
Before joining the DFL, I was an adviser to the Obama Administration and the United Nations Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights on LGBTQ equality and served as Chief Digital Officer at GLAAD, working to reduce bias in artificial intelligence and expand the organization’s digital advocacy infrastructure.
Each step of my career path I’ve focused on transforming community advocacy through technology and other methods, and I’m thrilled to continue this work at the Minnesota DFL. I will bring that same passion and experience to help us win up and down the ballot next year.
The DFL is working every day to organize our communities and make sure we’re able to keep Minnesota moving forward. We know that Donald Trump and his MAGA agenda are the exact opposite of what Minnesotans need right now, which is why we’re building a team to defeat his agenda in 2026.
