Every year, we pause to reflect and honor all who’ve worn the uniform.

As a veteran myself, I understand the sacrifice all too well — and why our work at CVA matters so deeply.

For many veterans, though, the mission continues.

Chris Park, a U.S. Air Force veteran, and Theresa Chmielewski, a U.S. Army veteran, prove that service doesn’t stop when the uniform comes off.

They’re part of our grassroots team — fighting to ensure that veterans always come first when it comes to their care, communities, and country.

Volunteers in our grassroots army, just like Chris and Theresa, have spent countless hours rallying support for reforms like the Veterans’ ACCESS Act, which would ensure veterans have:

• The freedom to pursue care outside of the VA’s network if needed
• Timely care, when they need it
• Accountability when the VA fails to do its job

Their work is about more than policy — it’s about living the values they carried through their service: integrity, leadership, and commitment to others.

And that’s exactly why we aim to amplify their voices here at CVA.

Because what’s good for veterans is good for America.

So, this Veterans Day, take a moment to thank a veteran — for their service, their example, and their continued impact in their communities.
