John, I want you to hear it from me: I’ll be voting NO when this Senate “deal” makes its way to the House. 

Americans can’t afford to accept empty promises and winks and nods from the very same people who already voted for the largest health care cuts in American history. 

We can’t afford any “deal” that doesn’t immediately lower health care costs for American families. The eye-popping premiums Illinois residents are seeing when they log onto their open enrollment portals are unacceptable. 

In the richest country in the world, affordable health care should be a given, not something we have to beg for. 

I’ll be voting no, and urging my colleagues in the House to do the same. With an extremely slim majority, we only need to pick off a few Republicans to defeat this awful plan. Will you add your name to my petition DEMANDING House Republicans reject this “deal”? I need to show them the American people are watching:
