After dragging hardworking Americans through the longest shutdown in history, a few smart Democrats finally did the right thing.
Eight of them broke ranks Sunday night to help the Senate pass a short-term spending deal that reopens the government through January 30, 2026. That means critical agencies like the VA will get funded, SNAP benefits will go out, and federal workers will get back pay.
Meanwhile, Democrats got a promise for a future vote on their Obamacare subsidies—but we all know how that’ll go. Insert eye roll here.
Let’s be honest: This shutdown was never about health care or helping families. It was about the Left’s pursuit of power and control.
While Democrats played politics, Republicans stood strong. We didn’t give any concessions on the ridiculous Obamacare tax credits they were holding out for because we’re delivering on the mandate we received from Americans last year.
Bottom line: Another stunt from the radical Left just went down in flames.
