Tonight more than 42 million Americans who rely on SNAP benefits are having to come to terms with a new reality because the assistance they rely on to feed and sustain their families is gone.
The suffering that is already taking place is unbearable.
Today, our campaign set up a foodbank in front of the King Soopers in Highlands Ranch, one of the largest cities in ours and Lauren Boebert’s district, to do our small part to alleviate the strain of this disaster for local families.
This catastrophe did not happen in a vacuum. It was deliberate. And there are people to blame for this complete breakdown in empathy for fellow Americans.
Lauren Boebert is one of them. She has voted to gut Medicaid by over $800 billion, slash SNAP for hungry kids and families, and gut low-income housing programs.
This past Tuesday’s blue wave was an overwhelming indictment of this cold callousness. If we can replicate Tuesday’s results in 2026 we can unseat Boebert.
It is doable. She is in Congress because of just 546 votes and when her and Trisha went head to head in 2024 Trisha had the best performance a Democrat has ever had in this district. Trisha’s platform of economic populism is a rejection of everything that Boebert stands for.
