It’s official, John — Republicans have now led the country into the longest government shutdown in history.

This is what Republican governance looks like: a non-functional government; skyrocketing health care premiums; SNAP and WIC benefits lapsing, leaving vulnerable Americans to go hungry; and a Great Gatsby themed party hosted by the president of the United States.

My message to Speaker Mike Johnson? Bring House Republicans back from their vacations so they can get back to work for the American people.
