It’s official.

Now that we officially have our new congressional map, I’m reaffirming my commitment to the people of California’s first congressional district. No matter what the maps look like or who is in our district, I AM IN THIS RACE because the people of Northern California deserve better than Doug LaMalfa.

Over the past month, we’ve built something real. We’ve raised thousands of dollars from grassroots supporters, welcomed new volunteers, and started reaching every corner of Northern California. And now, with Prop 50 behind us and our district lines officially set, it’s time to take this campaign all the way.

We’re 50% to our campaign re-launch goal to help kickstart our efforts reaching out to new CA-01 voters and preparing for whatever challenges this new map brings. Even if you can only give $10, our collective efforts will have a massive impact! 

I didn’t get into this race because I wanted a title. I’m not a career politician. I’m an educator, a nonprofit leader, and a neighbor who has seen what happens when working families are ignored and left to fend for themselves.

I launched this campaign before we even knew what our new district would look like because I believe that service should come before politics. And now that the map is final, I’m more determined than ever to make sure every voter in this new district knows who we are and what we stand for.

This campaign is powered by people — not PACs, not special interests, not party insiders. And with your help, we can reach the voters who’ve just joined CA-01 and show them that this movement is for them too.
