Dear John, Last winter, we invited you to send messages of hope to our incredible UNHCR field colleagues and wow, did you deliver! From kind wishes to heartfelt notes, your words lit up our teams’ days and reminded them why their work matters so much. Across places like Syria, Lebanon, Ukraine and Afghanistan, vulnerable families who have fled conflict are preparing for freezing temperatures with little protection from the cold. Many live in makeshift shelters or unfinished buildings, where icy winds find their way through every gap. Our UNHCR colleagues are there, in the toughest conditions, delivering warmth and safety to families who have lost everything.
