Reality is making a bootlegger’s turn against the hostile fantasy world of the Trans-Atlantic geopolitical disorder. Suddenly, real ideas have again become the currency of politics. From the ongoing discussion of the Bering Strait Tunnel Project, to the rejection, by more people and governments around the world—and in the Republican Party of the United States—of mass murder in Gaza, it has again become possible to discuss concepts, not slogans.

A changed reality is seen in the outcome of Tuesday’s American elections, particularly in New York City. In a far more profound way, it is seen in the proclamation of hope that issued from Pope Leo XIV, in his Oct. 25 Rome discussion of Cardinal Nicholas of Cusa the founder of modern scientific method, before tens of thousands of people. This was one of the greatest acts of mass education in the past 60 years. Father Harry Bury, an American Catholic priest for 70 years and personal friend of Saint Mother Theresa, responded to the Pope’s message by referencing the identity of the work of Cusa and that of America’s scientist and statesman Lyndon LaRouche.

The problem for the American citizen in general, and the American electorate in particular, is that the true origins of the American Republic, like the work of Lyndon LaRouche, have been kept from them.
