Two years ago today, we launched our campaign for state senate. We held our campaign launch at the Jam Handy in Detroit with a kid-friendly party, great food, a DJ, wonderful speakers, and lots of fun. I remember feeling so humbled and happy that evening as we began our campaign.

I am so lucky to serve Michigan's Senate District 1, full of amazing neighborhoods and resilient and creative people. We continue to face enormous challenges, and I will continue to work hard to get things done.
