New Teen Birth Data Released

The CDC recently released 2024 teen birth rate data, showing both progress and continued need for action.

In Texas, teen birth rate declined by 5% from the previous year, an encouraging sign, yet still ranks 8th highest in the nation, with more than 20,000 teen births, the highest total count in the U.S.

By understanding these trends, educators and district leaders can help advance strategies that support student health and lifelong success across Texas.

Learning in Action: HFTX Classroom

A couple of months ago, we launched the HFTX Classroom, an interactive online platform that makes it easy to access Healthy Futures' trusted training materials on your schedule.

Since then, many of you have explored modules and shared your feedback. Here's what learners had to say:

“I really liked this module. The information presented is so important to be educated on. The visuals and self-assessment questions kept me engaged, and I feel accomplished and educated after completing it.” -User of Foundation Principles: Trauma-Informed Facilitation
“I appreciated the historical context of sex education in the U.S. and the clear breakdown of program effectiveness. The data and insights helped me understand the real impact of education on reducing STIs and unplanned pregnancies.” -User of Why Sex Ed?

HFTX Classroom includes interactive quizzes, videos, and automatic certificates, and all learners are eligible for continuing education (CE) credits. After competing a module, you'll get an email with available CE options, just select what you need, and we'll send your certificate!
