Ducks Unlimited, one of America’s largest conservation organizations, just fired Mike Furtman, a 71‑year‑old lifelong outdoorsman who has dedicated his life to protecting wetlands, clean water, and wildlife.

He was fired because he’s a Democrat — because he dared to speak honestly about Trump and stand up for the values Ducks Unlimited claims to defend.

For 30 years, Mike wrote their stories, inspired kids, photographed wild places, and helped shape DU’s mission. But when a wealthy MAGA donor from Georgia complained, the organization caved and fired one of its most respected conservation voices.

Let’s be clear — wildlife is political now. And if the groups we once trusted are afraid to stand up to MAGA billionaires, then it’s up to us to build something stronger.
