And here’s the truth: ballot returns are still barely over 15%. That’s dangerously low for an election deciding nine state legislative races – the most in any odd year in the past decade – plus other key local positions.
Low turnout gives the edge to extremists who want to undo our progress on everything from reproductive freedom and LGBTQ+ rights to climate action and public education.
