Dear Friend,
With Affordable Care Act tax credits set to expire soon and health care premiums continuing to rise, families across New Mexico will face higher out-of-pocket costs just to stay covered unless Congress acts. At the same time, Republican cuts to Medicare and Medicaid are threatening access to care for seniors, people with disabilities, low-income families, tribal communities, and every rural community.
That’s why I’m hosting an in-person Health Care Town Hall in Taos THIS THURSDAY, November 6 at 5:30 P.M. — to hear directly from you about how these changes are affecting your family and community.
Join me to discuss what’s at stake for patients, providers, and families — and to share your stories about the importance of protecting the Affordable Care Act, Medicare, and Medicaid. Most importantly, I want to hear from you about what you want me to take back to Washington.
If you can’t make it, visit fernandez.house.gov/crisis to learn more about how I’m fighting to protect affordable health care and make sure every New Mexican can access the care they deserve.
We’ll also be talking about how the shutdown is impacting SNAP benefits and other essential services that families across New Mexico rely on.
