This is enraging –

The GOP doesn't think you should have autonomy over your body – and these statements just prove it.

In a recently-surfaced interview, Republican lawmaker Bryce Reeves endorsed a bill that would have required anyone in need of abortion care to undergo a mandatory transvaginal ultrasound before making a decision about their body.

There are no words for how outrageous this is. No one should have to undergo an invasive, medically unnecessary procedure before exercising their reproductive rights.

Luckily, we can do something about it right now. Reeves, along with multiple other Republicans in Virginia, are running in highly-competitive seats. If we defeat them, we can flip the entire Virginia legislature blue, stopping their attempts to regulate women's bodies in their tracks – and sending a message to the entire GOP that we won't tolerate their misogyny.

Quite simply, politicians should never be involved in these decisions – they should be made by women in conjunction with their doctors and families. Yet Republicans like Sen. Reeves continue to try to make health care as uncomfortable and shameful for women as possible.
