Dear John:

Medicines can’t work if nobody can afford them. But right now, greedy pharmaceutical companies are price gouging on life-saving medications, with Black and Latinx folks getting hurt the worst.

That’s why Action Center on Race and the Economy (ACRE), Center for Popular Democracy (CPD), People’s Action, Public Citizen, and Social Security Works (SSW) teamed up this week for a livestream on how to Make Medicines Work. See the recording here.

Take Action!

We’re continuing to call on HHS Secretary Alex Azar to issue licenses that will prevent pharma monopolies from cheating in the marketplace and price gouging sick people when they’re at their most vulnerable. Please add your voice to the call to make medicines work!

This week’s event was just the first step. We need your help to keep up the fight.

Sincerely,

Aija Nemer-Aanerud
