This weekend, as more than 40 million American families worried about whether they’ll be able to put food on the table, Donald Trump hosted a Great Gatsby party at Mar-a-Lago.

As the government remains shut down, the Trump admin refused to release emergency funding to cover the SNAP program — which feeds 42 million families, including 3.5 million in Texas alone. 

But while these families tried to figure out how to pay for groceries, Trump was throwing a Great Gatsby-themed party with dancers and flapper dresses – and the party’s theme was  “a little party never killed nobody.”

Make no mistake: Trump and Republicans are CHOOSING to let American families go hungry while they throw parties with their billionaire donors. 

We can’t let them get away with this. The government is shut down on their watch. Families are going hungry. And they couldn’t care less…
