John,
My name is Shanta, and for many years, I was a Director of Care at a care facility. But seven years ago, the tables turned when I received a spinal cord injury at work. This injury changed the way I do almost everything, and it meant that I needed more care than I had ever needed before.
As someone who had been a caregiver for many years, this shift in care roles gave me an even deeper respect for everything caregivers do each day. Like my husband, who has always been by my side, caring for me.
November is National Family Caregivers Month, a time to celebrate, honor, and uplift how care shows up in our lives. While our care circles may look different across our communities and may shift throughout our lifetimes, we all depend on care.
That’s why I’m excited to proudly share my appreciation of care with a fun photo frame in honor of National Family Caregivers Month – and I hope you’ll do the same, John!

Here’s how it works:

Caregivers deserve to be recognized this month and every month! As a caregiver and care recipient, I know that care makes it possible for all of us to live with dignity, and I know that’s true for you, too, John – whether you’re a caregiver, care recipient, sandwich caregiver, care worker, or all of the above!
Stay tuned for more ways to celebrate this month and to honor care,
