John—
Heading into Election Day tomorrow, millions of voters across the country have already cast ballots in key state and local races. These elections matter—not just for what happens on Tuesday, but for what happens next.
Yes, 223 of our 300+ endorsed candidates for 2025 are on the ballot tomorrow—but we’re not stopping there. Our fight isn’t just about winning seats; it’s about building a movement that transforms who holds power and how it’s used.
That means recruiting and supporting young, diverse candidates who fight for their communities. With your support, we help these candidates grow into the next generation of leaders who will change the system from the inside out.
With Election Day just hours away, I’m writing to ask you to start a monthly gift of $10 right now—because our work doesn’t stop when the votes are counted.

Here are a few of the standout candidates whose races we’re watching closely:
Alli Jackson (CO) is a social worker, mom, and lifelong advocate running for Aurora City Council. She’s fighting for affordable childcare, economic growth, and housing for working families all while taking on a Trump-aligned conservative in one of the most competitive local battlegrounds.
Delegate Nadarius Clark (VA) is the youngest Democrat ever elected to the Virginia General Assembly. Nadarius is running for re-election in one of the tightest races in the state that could determine control of the House of Delegates. He’s fighting for better schools, affordable housing, and accessible health care.
Alejandra Salinas (TX) is a nationally recognized attorney running for Houston City Council to fight for lower housing costs, flood protection, and fair elections. If elected, she’ll be the first Latina elected citywide in 30 years.
Mussab Ali (NJ) is the son of immigrants and a former school board member who made history as the youngest elected official in the state at just 20 years old. Mussab is now running for Jersey City Mayor to tackle housing costs, improve transit, and take on corporate landlords.
Deyanira Nevarez Martinez (MI) is a housing scholar, educator, and mother running for Lansing City Council. Raised in a working-class family, she’s fighting for safe housing, strong schools, and fair labor protections.
Royce Mann (GA) is a lifelong Atlantan, public school graduate, and education advocate running for the city’s Board of Education. He’s fighting to double school counselors, expand transit access for students, and defend public education from right-wing attacks.
With 100,000+ local and state offices across the country, we’ve got work to do year-round to find, train, and support the next generation of progressives ready to lead. Each candidate represents an opportunity to loosen the chokehold that the old guard has on our political system.
A reliable, monthly gift helps us do just that. It keeps the pipeline strong, the training continuous, and the movement growing long after Election Day. Become a monthly donor today and help us build for tomorrow:
We change the system by changing who’s in it. We start local, build the bench, and shape the future from the bottom up. Together, we’ve already helped win over 1,000 elections.
This work is made possible thanks to thousands of grassroots donors who give a little each month to fuel big change. Become a monthly donor today and help our candidates keep running — and winning.
