Join the National Association of Scholars for "Anti-Semitism, Inclusion, and Student Rights in Higher Ed" on Friday, November 7, at 1 pm ET.
Shabbos Kestenbaum—Harvard graduate, activist, and plaintiff in high-profile campus litigation—shares his first‑hand account of facing anti-Semitism at one of the nation’s leading universities and offers a clear blueprint for what colleges must do next to protect Jewish students and build a genuine intellectual community.
* What you’ll hear: a candid personal narrative that moves beyond headlines to reveal how anti-Semitism shows up in everyday campus life and how it affects students’ ability to learn, worship, and belong.
* What you’ll learn: concrete policy and community-based solutions universities can adopt now—from complaint processes and safety protocols to academic leadership and student programming—to safeguard Jewish students while preserving open debate.
* Why it matters: this is a policy-forward conversation about civil rights, campus safety, and the limits of current inclusion frameworks, aimed at students, faculty, administrators, and anyone who cares about higher education and free expression.
Join us for a provocative, solutions-driven talk followed by audience Q&A and practical next steps attendees can bring back to their campuses.

Join the National Association of Scholars in Myron Taylor Hall, Room 186 at the Cornell University Law School for "The Scopes Trial: 100 Years Later" on Tuesday, November 11, at 5:30 pm ET.
A hundred years ago, a trial was held in the small town of Dayton, Tennessee. John Scopes, a substitute high school teacher, was in the dock, accused of violating Tennessee’s new law prohibiting teaching any theory of the origin of man that was contrary to Genesis.
The trial captivated the nation, as two of the titans of early 20th century America—Clarence Darrow for the defense, and William Jennings Bryan for the prosecution—squared off against one another, in an epic confrontation of evolution versus creationism, of science versus religion, of reason versus superstition.
In July 2025, Dayton celebrated the centennial of the trial that put the town on the map. We were there to see what they had to say. The Scopes Trial: 100 Years Later shows what we found, and what we think was the real legacy of the Scopes trial.
This event will feature Scott Turner, Director of Science Programs at the National Association of Scholars.
Please select your ticket type appropriately when registering as you can attend this event via a live-stream audience as well as an person audience.
