Dear Neighbor,
The current government shutdown has now lasted more than one month. I continue to urge my Senate colleagues to immediately re-open the government by passing the clean funding package we sent them in September. However, the measure has already failed more than a dozen times. In the interim, I know many of our neighbors are suffering. According to the U.S. Department of Agriculture, nearly 50,000 households in Pasco, Hernando and Citrus counties are impacted by the pause in food stamp benefits. Airline travel has been disrupted and thousands of federal workers, from Air Traffic Controllers to those defending our borders must work despite missing their recent paychecks. This dire situtation is putting a strain on our social safety net.
I want to remind you that my office is open and ready to serve you. Representing Florida priorities and providing top-notch constituent services is my primary focus in Congress. We’ve had great success helping Floridians with expedited passports, visa processing, Veteran benefits, immigration petitions, retirement issues, tax returns, and much more. If you need assistance navigating a federal agency, including the IRS, Social Security, the VA, immigration services, or Medicare, give us a call at 727-232-2921 or visit our website. It is our honor to represent you and your family in Congress!
Please take a moment to share your experiences with me. Your input helps to make me a better Member of Congress!
