My path to the U.S. Senate wasn’t exactly traditional — I’m just a laid-off geologist turned brewer who first ran for office because the voices of everyday Coloradans weren’t being heard. But in 2020, Coloradans put their trust in me as Senator, and since then, my focus has always been the same: putting Colorado families first.

And I’m proud of what we were able to accomplish — we invested in fixing our aging infrastructure, passed the largest climate rescue bill ever, and we even lowered the cost of prescription drugs for seniors.

But just 10 months into President Trump’s second term, we’ve seen countless assaults on all of the progress we’ve made — and then some.

Trump and the Republicans in Washington have gutted Americans’ health care and ensured premiums will skyrocket next year. They’ve ripped up the clean energy tax credits we passed to bring down your electric bill. Heck, they’ve even had the federal government shut down for over a month now, and there’s still no sign they’re willing to work across the aisle with us to reach a solution.

So while I’ll never stop fighting for Colorado, it’s just as important that we recognize these unprecedented attacks on working people and our democracy and do everything we can to oppose the Trump administration’s extreme agenda that threatens to throw our whole country into total chaos.

Flipping the Senate blue is a key part of that fight. And that starts with defending must-win states like Colorado in 2026.
