Dear John, Hi, my name is Josie Mitz, and I am the Campaigns Manager in the Advocacy Department at PFLAG National. Before joining the team in April, I spent the last decade working on campaigns to elect individuals who reflect my values across all levels of government. When people ask me why I worked long hours and spent so much time talking to voters, my answer is always the same: My life is shaped by the decisions, policies, and laws made and passed by my elected officials—and we are at a crucial turning point for the future of LGBTQ+ rights in this country. I decided to bring my energy and expertise to PFLAG because the passion of parents, families, allies, and the LGBTQ+ community itself truly moves lawmakers.
