Our story: The Left’s unchecked march through the institutions has claimed some of America’s most cherished historic sites, such as Montpelier, home of James Madison. But Heritage is reclaiming America’s history with its brand-new Heritage Guide to Historic Sites.
- The guide grades these sites based on historical accuracy, ideological bias, and attention to the details of the American story.
- At launch, the Guide includes sites from the original 13 colonies but will expand to include historic sites from all 50 states.
- “We believe this guide will awaken a new generation of patriots—men and women ready to remember and defend the history that makes us who we are,” says Heritage President Kevin Roberts, Ph.D.
- Heritage announced the launch of the guide at the home of America’s first president, General George Washington.

- “This is a surreal rewrite of the social contract: compel today’s lower-income taxpayers to subsidize tomorrow’s higher-income Obamacare beneficiaries,” writes Heritage Senior Research Fellow Robert E. Moffit, Ph.D.
