Dear John,
SNAP Resources
Amidst the uncertainty on the status of SNAP (food stamps) benefits, many New Yorkers are at risk of losing key supports they rely on to put food on the table.
If you need immediate food assistance, please use the following resources to find where you can access local food pantries and/or free meals:
* NYC Food Finder ([link removed])
* Food Bank NYC Find Food Tool ([link removed])
* DYCD Food Pantries Borough Wide Directory ([link removed])
* HRA Community Food Connection Directory ([link removed])
It is important that all SNAP households continue to complete all SNAP requirements including recertifications, returning periodic reports, and reporting changes, even during the federal government shutdown.

Flooding Resources
If your building or business was impacted by the flooding on Thursday, October 30th, please document it using the Housing Recovery Office’s Report Damage Portal ([link removed]) .
New Yorkers should also file a 311 service request ([link removed]) for specific conditions that require city response. This includes basement flooding, sewer backups, street flooding, water leaks, power outages, structural concerns, fallen trees, blocked catch basins, mold, broken sidewalks, and heat or hot water outages. Requests can be submitted at nyc.gov/311, by calling 311, or using TTY at 212-504-4115 or Video Relay Service at 212-639-9675.
