Friend, before I ask you to chip in to my campaign, I wanted to share why this race – and this moment – matters so much to me.
I was born and raised in Dallas. In the summers, my mom and I drove to Brownsville to visit my grandparents, and when I was a little older, I went to a YMCA camp at Possum Kingdom Lake.
I played high school football at Hillcrest in Dallas ISD, was captain of my college team at Baylor, and then worked my way from the NFL to law school to serving in the Obama administration.
My story is a Texas story – one built on hard work, community, and opportunity.
When I decided to run for Congress. I put in the work and beat tough odds to come out victorious against a 22-year Republican incumbent, and I promised my constituents that I'd be there for them no matter what, and I'd work to make them proud.
And then there I was in the Capitol on Jan. 6, in the House chamber doing my job, as we heard pounding on the door. I texted my wife, “Whatever happens, I love you,” and then I was ready to defend my colleagues from whatever came through that door.
My opponent (and the GOP front-runner), Ken Paxton, was also there on Jan. 6. He was there on stage, telling them, “We will not quit fighting,” right before they marched to the Capitol to cause chaos and destruction.

That's the difference here in this race. I will always be on the right side of history as Texas' next Senator, and if you believe in this movement like thousands have, please donate to my campaign:
Paxton will be nothing but an extremist MAGA Senator and hurt working families. He has backed tariffs that hurt Texas farmers and small businesses and supports cutting health care.
I ran for Congress to do things differently. To actually show up, to listen, and to fight for the people who make this state great. And now, I'm running for Senate to bring that same approach statewide.
Because Texans deserve better than a system that only works for the powerful, corrupt, and well-connected.
And here's the good news: After outrunning the presidential ticket by nearly 200,000 votes last year, recent polls show our grassroots campaign surging and even leading in four early polls. We have the momentum – and we can win this race if we keep building on it.

Folks like you are the backbone of this campaign, friend. And if we're going to overcome the millions Trump's allies and Cornyn and Paxton's mega donors are spending to buy this race and protect the status quo, your support is essential.

Will you invest $5 or more before midnight to help us fight back and deliver the honest, accountable leadership Texans deserve?
