FIRST DAY OF CANDIDATE FILING FOR REPUBLICAN 2026 PRIMARY
     
      The Republican Party of Navarro County will observe the first day of the 2026 Republican Primary Election candidate filings on Saturday November 8 from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm at Republican Headquarters, 111-B West Third Avenue in downtown Corsicana.  Before campaign receipts or expenses can be made “Appointment of Treasurer” forms must completed at the Navarro County Elections Office, County Annex, 601 North 13th Street in Corsicana.  Republican County Chair Steve Jessup encourages local candidates to bring their completed filing forms and filing fees (or petitions) on November 8. 
 
      Candidate filing for office will continue until Monday December 8, 2025, for the 2026 Primary Election.  The Republican Headquarters will be open from 10:00 am to 6:00 pm on the last day for candidate filing.
 
      If a candidate desires to file in between these dates, contact County Chair Steve Jessup at (903) 872-6949 for an appointment. 
 
      Those candidates desiring to run for office, whose jurisdiction includes counties outside Navarro County, must file with the Republican Party of Texas in Austin TX.

State Constitutional Amendment Election will be held Tuesday November 4 from 7:00 am to 7:00 pm.  Vote at 1 of 20 Vote Centers within Navarro County.

Corporal Sam Meyer and Tim Easley will be the Grand Marshalls of the Texas Veterans Parade on Saturday morning November 15 in Corsicana.  The parade will honor current and past Military Veterans from all wars and conflicts.

The Republican Party of Navarro County has an entry in the parade.  Veterans are invited to ride Victor's trailer.  We must meet at the My Garage Self Storage parking lot, 801 North 13th Street, Corsicana, across the street from Brookshires gas station, between 8:30 am and 9:00 am Saturday morning November 15 for parade check-in.  Old-timers will recognize this location as the former K-Mart parking lot.  Parade line-up begins at 9:00am. The parade will begin at 10:00 am at the War Memorial northwest corner of the Navarro County Courthouse.
On September 15, the Republican Party Of Navarro County voted to concur with the Republican Party Of Texas Resolution Honoring Charlie Kirk.
IRepublican Party of Navarro County operations account pays for our Republican Headquarters in West Third Avenue.  As Republicans, we must pay our own way.  It is the other party that has free stuff.  We have several contributor levels:
  • Roosevelt = $ 100
  • Coolidge = $ 250
  • Eisenhower = $ 500
  • Lincoln = $ 1000
  • Reagan = $ 5000
You would receive a lapel pin, recognizing your contribution. 

The Republican Headquarters is a valuable resource to the local party, as well as the Navarro County Republican Women’s club.  Volunteers have been recruited, because they either called the Headquarters or came in person.  Our candidates had a visible and accessible place to file for office.
