John, I just took the Trump Administration to court to force them to use the available funds at their disposal to continue Pennsylvanians' SNAP benefits. And we won.

Yesterday, a judge blocked the Trump Administration’s proposed freeze on food assistance benefits for over 2 million Pennsylvanians. Now, I'm urging the Trump Administration to do right by these Pennsylvanians by getting the money out as quickly as possible — and then my Administration will move as fast as we can to get those benefits out the door.

John, we are using every tool at our disposal to put food on tables across Pennsylvania. But this fight isn't over, and our work isn't done.

This unprecedented effort to freeze SNAP benefits underscores just how important next year’s elections will be. We can’t allow the far-right to install their own hand-picked politician in the Governor’s office — a politician whose only priority is marching in lockstep behind the President, no matter how many times he hurts working families all across Pennsylvania.

This isn’t about politics, John. This is about upholding the rule of law and defending the good people of Pennsylvania from the President’s recklessness. If that’s a mission that speaks to you, I hope I can count on your support as we push back against all the powerful special interests working overtime to screw over hardworking folks. I’m not going to sit on the sidelines as the President uses hungry kids as a political bargaining chip — and I hope you won’t either.

Thank you,
