 Library Closed in Observance of Thanksgiving

The Library is closed on Thursday, November 27, and Friday, November 28, in observance of Thanksgiving, but our online services are available 24/7. Just go to hursttx.gov/hplonline to access eBooks, streaming media, and more. The Library will reopen at our usual time, Saturday, November 29, at 10 a.m.

Soar into the skies with us at the Story Lab: Life of a Bird! We'll discover the incredible journey birds take, from tiny eggs to magnificent adults, exploring their amazing behaviors, beautiful songs, and epic migrations. Get ready to explore the wonders of the avian world through captivating stories, hands-on activities with our Texas Wildlife Discovery Trunk, and the exciting start of our very own chicken egg incubation project!
 Easy as Pie Felt Hotpad

 Build Your Own Bee House
Saturday, November 15, 12-1 p.m.
Program Rooms North and South
Join a free 45-minute class led by a Tarrant County Master Gardener to build a bee house that supports native pollinators in your North Texas yard. One bee house per registered household; space is limited, so register today at hursttx.gov/hplsignup.
 Teens Touch Grass: Happy Friendsgiving!

Are you feeling a little too online? Unplug and touch grass at this monthly outdoor teen program! Each month, we'll offer a different crafty, sporty, or social activity to get you up and out during the school year.
At this special Teens Touch Grass, we're gathering around the picnic blanket and having a friendly feast! Registration is required for this TTG session to ensure enough food for everyone. Register for free here: hursttx.gov/hplsignup.

Dress in your finest wizarding robes, house colors, or magical cosplay and prepare for a night of spellbinding fun! Costumes are encouraged, magic is guaranteed, and the memories will last long after the last snowflake falls.
Whether you're arriving by broomstick, floo powder, or portkey—don’t miss this unforgettable night!
