Tonight, as families go door-to-door for trick-or-treating, streets will fill with laughter, costumes, and candy. But they will also be quieter than they should be.

I invite you to consider something. The children you might encounter tonight are here because the value of their lives was recognized. Due to the normalization of abortion, that recognition is not present for all. Nearly 3,000 babies are killed by abortion every day in America.

I know it’s a sobering illustration, but because of abortion, your streets have fewer children in them tonight. We’ll never experience the joy these children would have brought; this is a reality we must mourn.

But we can do something to save children still at risk of death by abortion.

That’s why your partnership right now matters so much. We are standing at an inflection point in Live Action’s mission. Your support is needed to expand beyond digital outreach into face-to-face equipping of the next generation of pro-life leaders.

We have to feel the devastation of abortion in order to be the people who stop this hidden genocide. Future generations hang in the balance.

Let me share with you an example of the kind of impact you can make by partnering with Live Action as a Life Defender.

Earlier this year, a woman reached out to us because she found out she was pregnant and was excited but then shocked to find out her boyfriend wanted her to have an abortion. When she refused, he threatened to kill himself.

She contacted our team, and praise God, we were able to help her navigate the situation.

While we were helping her, the father took some space to cool down and clear his head. He came back and talked it through with her. He had a total change of heart, and she gave birth to a healthy baby boy.

The problem is that there are countless more women like this mother and men like this father. Many of them are unaware of Live Action and have no one to tell them the truth with love rather than what they too often hear — a push for comfort or the path of least resistance, which can lead to destruction.

That’s why so many children are missing tonight. But if Live Action can equip pro-life people across the country to be that loving, encouraging presence, more babies will be saved.

And it’s not only that more babies will be saved in last-minute, dire circumstances. We are building out pockets of loving, pro-life community to get ahead of the problem — to help men and women have healthy relationships, get married, and be part of supportive communities before pregnancy enters the picture.

Specifically, we are working to launch:

• An updated Ambassador Program to mobilize tens of thousands nationwide,
• The North Star Fellowship to form courageous pro-life leaders,
• Church and College Outreach Programs to equip advocates face-to-face.

This is how we make abortion unthinkable, not just by changing laws but by changing hearts and building communities anchored in life and family.
