On September 19, I voted for a bill that would keep our government open and accountable to the American people. Since then, Washington Democrats have voted against that bill 13 times.
I’m committed to serving our community during this time and will continue to work around the clock to end this shutdown and ensure our neighbors and community members are connected with the resources they need.

My offices in Washington, Anaheim Hills, and Mission Viejo remain open to serve you today and always.

I spoke with local business and nonprofit leaders in Rancho Santa Margarita about the government shutdown and how my team and I can continue to support our community.
I’ll keep working to get government open and our economy moving.
Always great to catch up with Chief deMetropolis and the City of Orange Fire Department! I’ll always fight for our first responders who keep our community safe each day.
