As I write this, Speaker Mike Johnson is still refusing to swear in Rep.-elect Adelita Grijalva — one of our fearless climate champions.

The far-right is trying to steal Congressional seats and silence the voices of voters for generations to come.

And as the government shutdown rages on, Donald Trump is demolishing the East Wing of the White House to build himself a $350 million ballroom.

Look, Trump and Big Oil are counting on us to get too tired, scared, and overwhelmed to stand up to them. But we know better.

We are the ones who need to stand up to authoritarianism. We are the ones who need to defend our democracy. We are the ones who need to believe that a better tomorrow is possible — and fight for it. And in order to win, we’ll have to do it together.
