john,
I know these last few weeks have been tough.
The government shutdown has taken its toll on families, small businesses, and everyone just trying to get by.
It’s been frustrating to watch the dysfunction in Washington, knowing how many people are being hurt while Congress fails to do its most basic job. Even in moments like this, I remind myself why I ran for Congress in the first place: To make things work a little better for families who don't have time for political games.
And while the shutdown has slowed down just about everything in D.C., it hasn’t slowed down this grassroots campaign. We still have to stay ready and keep this movement in fighting shape for the people across our district and state, because that’s what next year’s election will be: a true fight for our democracy and for a brighter future. WA-08 is one of the most critical races in the country, which means we need every bit of support we can get.
I know times are hard right now, and I'm deeply appreciative of everything you do to keep this campaign strong. But if you can spare $5, even just $1, to help me close our fundraising gap, I’d be eternally grateful. >> [link removed]
Thank you,
Kim
