Before I ask you to chip in $3, please let me explain why your support means so much.

Tonight is my end-of-month fundraising deadline, and my finance director just let me know we’re running just short of our goal. This campaign is by and for Central and Southern Illinois – we rely on supporters like you chipping in a few bucks when you can to keep us competitive.

This month has been especially tough for working families in Illinois and the entire country. It’s disheartening to see House Republicans and the White House do nothing while their cruel agenda threatens the livelihoods of millions of families. Families that are scared about their rising healthcare premiums, vanishing food assistance, and more.

I’m pushing back as hard as I can in Congress. And while I’ve managed to bring back real results despite the Republican majority – from protecting local businesses to education funding – it’s made me a target.

As you know, we’re facing multiple GOP challengers in this race. We anticipate a surge in attacks from the NRCC, billionaire donors, and special interest groups who want to expand the Republican House majority.
