John, we’re one week out from Friday, November 7th. On this day at the Hilton Chicago, my husband, Bob Creamer, will receive the Egan-Evans Distinguished Service Award from Citizen Action/Illinois.
Please RSVP today and join me in celebrating Bob — we’d love to have you there. [[link removed]]

Bob co-founded this organization nearly 50 years ago. The Illinois Public Action Council — now known as Citizen Action/Illinois — became the first statewide progressive coalition rooted in organizing, not just advocacy.
Since then they’ve propelled forth a vision to fight for justice, economic fairness, and democratic accountability at scale that continues today. At Citizen Action, they’ve raised a generation of organizers and helped build the foundation for national change because we understood something simple but powerful: change starts here.
Join us in a celebration of the people-powered movement. A night to reflect on the hard work and long fights, the leaders we’ve lifted up, the communities we’ve stood beside, and the victories that once felt impossible but became real because we refused to back down.
I know how important the work Bob has done through Citizen Action/Illinois is to him. So please, reserve your spot today to not just celebrate Bob, but the movement he built. [[link removed]]
