FEATURED NEWS

HU’s Melanie Greenberg and John Paul Lederach joined the Collective Trauma Summit for a panel on “Sustainable Peace Building.” This panel was part of a seven-day global gathering led by experts in trauma healing, embodiment, and social change. Their conversation highlighted how addressing collective trauma is vital to sustaining peace and fostering transformation in communities around the world.

Earlier this month, several HU team members joined over 550 peacebuilders from 90 countries at the Peace Connect convening in Nairobi, Kenya hosted by Peace Direct. The gathering was filled with meaningful conversations, inspiring art and music, providing a space for participants to reflect on the current global landscape of peacebuilding and envision pathways for a more peaceful future. It was a powerful reminder of the strength and creativity that emerge when communities come together in pursuit of peace.

PARTNER HIGHLIGHTS

At the International Peace Institute (IPI)’s Women, Peace, and Leadership Symposium, global leaders came together to highlight the critical role of women in advancing international peace and security. The discussion emphasized that women’s leadership is not just about equity; it is essential to building more inclusive, sustainable, and lasting peace.

A new ARIJ Network investigation has identified Israeli troops accused of targeting unarmed civilians in Gaza. Documenting and exposing such violations is vital, as civilian lives must be protected and accountability upheld to safeguard human dignity and international law.

Wikirate just released their Reporting Integrity Index, revealing how Germany’s 50 largest companies perform on transparency and sustainability reporting across five key sectors. While most firms show progress on double-materiality assessments, data assurance, and supplier audits, the research also highlights major gaps in lobbying transparency, report archiving, and overall reporting quality.
